By way of introduction, I realised, when I sat down to write a bit of blurb about myself, that a great deal of my time is taken up with my pet rats - cleaning their cage, making exciting things for them to play in, lugging bags of bedding home. I'm typing this with them down my jumper, in fact. I do have the occasional encounter with someone who isn't a rodent.
To pay the vet bills and the rent, I'm also chief editorial consultant at Fine Line Editorial (http://www.editorial-consultancy.co.uk), an online editorial consultancy for writers who've yet to pen a word to those with a mountain of manuscripts in need of a critical eye. And for those who just fancy a chance to enter the caption competition for a chance to win a moleskine. Hope you enjoy it if you take a look. |

Thank you! There might be something on the Fine Line site to inspire you in amongst the articles on classic female writers, tips to get you going and inspire you to keep at it, and pieces by working writers on how they work. Might just find your muse in amongst them. _________________ Chief Editorial Consultant

Thanks Charles. I'm really enjoying all the discussions. So encouraging to see writers interacting with each other rather than being locked away, chained to their computers. _________________ Chief Editorial Consultant

Happy New Year and welcome aboard. I will definately be checking out your site as my goal for this year is get a book deal for one of my manuscripts (at least one). I have 5 in the works now: Two horror/paranormal, one murder/crime, one humorous romance and one children's
goal # one is to determine the one that is most marketable and use it as a jumping off point...but that means editing as they are all pretty raw.
as for dealing with rodents...I deal with them all the time, but they are the two-legged kind _________________ "the wig hides the 666 imprinted on my skull, wink." |

Thank you and Happy New Year to you too! Yes, do please take a good look at the Fine Line Editorial site. There are all sorts of interesting and helpful things up there and we add to it all the time. We starting a Dear Editor page soon - a problem page/forum for writers. Yes, the two-legged kind tend to give the four-legged kind a bad name so I have more colourful names for them. Lol. I'll look forward to hearing from you. Kate _________________ Chief Editorial Consultant

this would be a late welcome from me. Sorry for that. Just saw your post about valentine in personal blogs section. Quite interesting. Hope you like it here. And...you look great. Take care. _________________ We think we have learned how to care for someone if we know what makes them smile....but if we really care for someone, we should know what makes them cry!
